Breaking into Precinct

Moordryd smirked underneath the cloaking device, watching Ripper and Boy as they smashed their way through Precinct. Effective, if perhaps a bit barbaric. They followed a while, before Moordryd instructed Decepshun to take a path that he'd used tons of times in the basement of Precinct. It would be quicker and less dangerous. Besides, then he could surprise Ripper outside.

Ripper urged Boy to move faster. They had lost the Dragon City Security dorks awhile back but they still had to keep moving. Tears threatened to fall from her eyes but she managed to hold them back. Why am I crying? I've faced bonemarks, hydrags, and the Muhorta. Compared to them, this is nothing. Then the little voice in her head jumped in. You are not upset because you are running from the law, you're upset because you're running away from Moordryd. Shut up! You don't know anything! And yet, I know more than you. Ripper was about to reply but a loud crash from a nearby alley caught her attention. She walked Boy into the alley and found their path bocked by a wraith dragon. Boy started to mag it away but another wraith appeared and began draining his energy with tentacle gear. "No..." Boy fell over as yet another wraith began draining him of his power. The two lay there in the alley, powerless to stop the attack.

They escaped from Precinct unscathed. Now all Moordryd and Decepshun had to do was find Ripper and Boy. Deactivating the Shadow Gear, they raced through the various alleyways surrounding Precint. Finally, a crash alerted them, and the two raced after the sound. Wraiths! What was father doing?! A well-aimed Mag Claw sent one flying, while his magstick took out another, and Decepshun finished off a third. Little did they know that a fourth was watching every move. "Ripper! Are you ok?"

Riper's eyes slowly opened. "M-Moordryd?" She sat up and looked up at Moordryd. Tell him now. For once she agreed with the voice in her head. "Moordryd, would you mind talking to me face to face?"

Moordryd regarded Ripper for a moment, wondering what she was up to. "Fine, but let's first burn claw and get away from this place. We're still close to Precinct, and if there's Wraiths here, who knows what Father's up to..." Moordryd shook his head, momentarily trying to figure out what his father was up to, but not really coming to any conclusion.

"Fine. But let's move really fast. I really need to talk to you face to face." Ripper watched as Boy shakily stood and shook himself off. She quickly looked him over before getting on. "Now, we can burn claw."

"Alright," Moordryd agreed, watching Boy get up. He wouldn't last long. But they needed to put as much distance between themselves and Precinct as they could. "Come on..." he said, turning Decepshun and running off.

Boy and Ripper followed Moordryd through some back alleys and darkened streets. Every so often, Boy would have to stop to rest but an annoyed groan from Moordryd would always make him start moving again. Eventually, he regained enough energy to be able to run beside Decepshun. He smiled at her, thankful that he wasn't separated from her for good.

Decepshun returned the smile, but then returned her focus to running. Finally, after several minutes Moordryd had Decepshun stop. He turned to look at Ripper. "So, what was it you wanted to tell me?"

Ripper stopped Boy. She magged onto the front of Decepshun and stared at Moordryd for a second before grabbing his collar and pulling him forward into a kiss. She closed her eyes and released her grip on his collar, giving him the option to break the kiss if he did not feel the same.

(Actions speak louder than words.)

Moordryd watched Ripper with little emotion. He really didn't know what to suspect. So when she suddenly landed on Decepshun's head, he simply arched an eyebrow. His eyes grew wide as she grabbed him, and pulled him into a kiss. It was a few stunned moments after she let go of his collar that he finally broke the kiss. He then stared at her for a few moments. "That was... an interesting annoucement."

Ripper's eyes started to fill with tears. She did not understand. Did he feel the same or not? She began trembling. The tears began to fall as she spoke. Her voice cracked as well. "G-goodbye... I'm sorry that I had to go and get myself in so much trouble..." She magged back onto Boy and raced off into the shadows, unsure of who she was running from, Dragon City Security or Moordryd.

Moordryd himself didn't know if he felt the same or not. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't gather his thoughts in enough time before Ripper turned and raced off. With a heavy sigh, he shook his head, still not knowing what to do. Decepshun looked up at her rider, regarding him for several moments. She then started running, letting Moordryd sort through his thoughts during the comfortable rocking of her gallop.

Ripper was thrown from Boy's saddle as something tripped him. He stumbled and fell. Part of his upper body landed on Ripper. "What the-" A wraith appeared and hissed at her. "Oh great." Boy shakily stood and growled at the wraith. Ripper groaned and stood as well. Suddenly, five more wraiths appeared. "Not again!" Boy agreed and gatered up enough energy to mag two of the wraiths away. However, three more ran up to replace them.

"Forget it, Boy. Just mag me and run." He nodded and did as told. However, the wraiths blocked the way they had been going before Boy had been tripped. "Great. Either we go see Platinum or we fight." She sighed. "I think I'd rather fight the wraiths." The wraiths began snarling and roaring. "On second thought, let's lead them to Platinum." Boy nodded and raced back the way they came.
